Lucas is an illustrator/cartoonist who graces So-Cal with his magnificent presence. He is an Art Director/Cartoonist for a small San Diego newspaper and is also a regular editorial cartoonist for Artizans Syndicate and CNS (Catholic News Service) in Washington D.C. Lucas is a regular member of the National Cartoonists Society, the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists and the San Diego Press Club. His cartoons and illustrations have been featured in dozens of newspapers, web sites, and magazines. Even on television! Some of these include: TIME.com; USA Today; FoxNews.com; CNN Weekend Report & CNN.com; The Louisville Courier-Journal; Asbury Park Press; The San Diego North County Times; and America Magazine, just to name a few. Over the past three years, he has received TWELVE, 1st Place awards for Illustration and Editorial Cartooning from the San Diego Press Club and the Society of Professional Journalists.
